Setup Pricing

Pricing groups are the glue between the bookable routes and the linked inventories.

Workflow

  • Pricing groups contain fare breakdown of inventories.
  • Pricing groups are assigned to routes on the schedules.
  • Pricing groups allow fares to be managed at a global level, arms-length from the routing.
  • Any changes to a pricing group will automatically apply to new bookings.

  • Discounts can be added for typically low traffic periods

Setup a pricing group

  1. Click ToolsAccounting >  Pricing.
  2. Click <New Item> in the Price drop-down.
  3. Enter a description.

  4. Click Add.
  5. Select the Fare and click Create.

  6. Click Add.

  7. Find and Select an inventory.

  8. The inventory is assigned.

  9. Click Close.

  10. Click OK.

Setup applicable coupons

  1. Open a pricing group.
  2. Click the Coupons tab.
  3. Mark the applicable coupons.

  4. Click OK.

Setup inventory filters

  1. Open a pricing group.
  2. Select a Fare.
  3. Click Edit.

  4. Select an inventory.

  5. Click Edit Filters.

Stacked inventories

Highlights

  1. Open a pricing group.
  2. Select a Fare.
  3. Click Edit.

  4. Click Add.
  5. Find and Select an inventory.

  6. The inventory has been added.

  7. Click Close.

Discounting

Highlights

  • Discount for early birds.
  • Discount online bookings.
  • Discount based on time of day.
  1. Open a pricing group.
  2. Select a Fare.
  3. Click Edit.

  4. Click Add.
  5. Select and Find an inventory.


    This inventory has been setup with a negative price.

  6. The inventory has been added.

Discounting Examples

Apply the early bird for online bookings only

  1. Select the inventory.

  2. Click Edit Filters.

  3. Click the Date of Booking tab.

  4. Check Valid when booked between.

  5. In the Ending section, mark prior to departure and set the number of days.

  6. Click the Options tab.

  7. Set the Booking Agent to No.

  8. Click OK.
